Purpose#
This policy explains how FindMe verifies the identity of job seekers and employers to reduce fraud, improve trust, and protect the platform.
It works together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and applies whenever FindMe asks you to complete a verification step.
Eligibility#
Identity verification may be available to job seekers, employers, and authorized representatives of a company account.
FindMe may require verification before granting certain features, or later if a risk signal, complaint, mismatch, or unusual account activity appears.
Accepted IDs#
For individual verification, FindMe may accept a government-issued ID that shows your legal name, photograph, and other identifying details.
For employer verification, FindMe may accept business registration documents, proof of authority, and related supporting records. The exact documents requested may vary by account type and risk level.
Submission process#
Before uploading, you must complete the consent step in the verification flow and confirm that the documents are yours and accurate.
Upload only through the official FindMe verification screen. Do not send documents through chat, public forms, or unsecured channels unless FindMe specifically asks you to do so.
Manual review process#
All verification submissions are reviewed by authorized FindMe reviewers. Reviewers check authenticity, legibility, consistency, expiry status, and whether the documents match the profile and account details.
If needed, we may ask for a clearer image, a selfie, a different document, or other information that helps confirm identity.
Verification status#
A submission may be marked pending, approved, rejected, revoked, or under appeal.
Pending means the review is still in progress. Approved means the account met the requirements at the time of review. Rejected means the submission was not enough to confirm identity. Revoked means a verification result was later found to be unreliable, false, or no longer valid.
Approval#
If your submission is approved, FindMe may show a verification badge or other trust marker on your profile or workspace.
Approval confirms that the submitted documents were sufficient for the review at that time. It is not a guarantee that the account will remain verified forever.
Rejection#
We may reject verification if the documents are incomplete, altered, expired, unreadable, inconsistent, suspected to be forged, or do not match the account holder.
We may also reject a submission if there is insufficient proof of authority, there are signs of account takeover, or the account holder does not respond to a reasonable request for more information.
Appeals#
If your verification is rejected, you may request reconsideration by submitting corrected documents or additional context through the verification support channel.
FindMe may uphold the original decision, request more information, or approve the account after the appeal is reviewed.
Re-verification#
FindMe may ask you to re-verify when your documents expire, your account details change, your business details change, or suspicious activity is detected.
If you do not complete re-verification when reasonably requested, verification features or badges may be paused or removed.
Fraud detection#
FindMe may compare your submission against your profile details, account history, device signals, and other risk indicators to detect fraud, impersonation, or duplicate accounts.
Possible fraud signals include edited images, mismatched names, inconsistent metadata, repeated failed attempts, or documents that appear to belong to another person.
Privacy#
Verification documents are processed only for verification, trust, safety, fraud prevention, and related compliance purposes.
Only authorized reviewers can access the documents, and FindMe never sells verification documents or uses them for marketing.
Data retention#
FindMe keeps verification documents only as long as needed to complete review, support appeals, investigate fraud, and satisfy legal obligations.
After that period, the documents are deleted or irreversibly redacted. We may keep a minimal record that a verification check occurred, along with basic audit metadata, for security and compliance purposes.
Security#
Verification files are protected with encryption, restricted access, and logging of reviewer activity.
FindMe also applies least-privilege access, internal review controls, and incident response procedures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
User responsibilities#
You must submit authentic, current, complete, and unaltered documents that belong to you or that you are authorized to submit on behalf of the company.
You are responsible for making sure the account information tied to your submission is accurate and for responding to follow-up requests in a timely way.
FindMe responsibilities#
FindMe will apply the review process consistently, protect submitted documents, and only use them for the purposes described in this policy and the Privacy Policy.
FindMe may pause, reject, revoke, or request additional verification when necessary to protect users, maintain trust, or comply with law.
