Overview#

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is a contract that governs how personal data is handled when FindMe processes it on behalf of your organization, as required under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and similar international frameworks.

When the service involves identity verification or applicant screening, the DPA may also cover the collection, review, storage, and deletion of verification documents processed under your instructions.

Our role#

Depending on the context, FindMe acts as a Personal Information Controller for individuals who register with us directly, and as a Personal Information Processor when handling applicant data strictly on behalf of a hiring employer.

For enterprise processing, the customer usually remains the Personal Information Controller for data it provides or instructs us to process, while FindMe acts as the processor for those instructions.

What a DPA typically covers#

The purposes and scope of data processing, security measures in place, how sub-processors are handled, breach notification commitments, and the data subject rights available to individuals.

Where verification data is involved, the agreement should also describe retention limits, access controls, and deletion procedures for identity documents and related review records.

Getting started#

Enterprise customers with GDPR, RA 10173, or similar compliance requirements can contact us to execute a DPA alongside their MSA.
